This game is designed for anyone interested in interdisciplinarity. We have played this game in various educational and research settings and find that the game can be played at various levels, ranging from first year undergraduate students to specialised master students to career academics.
With this game, participants learn to:
- Create research questions that align to the foundations of a discipline.
- Reflect on the foundations of their own discipline(s) (disciplinary grounding).
- Learn about the perspectives of other disciplines (perspective taking).
- Engage in a discussion about the differences and similarities of different disciplines.
- Assess the value of different research questions.
Additionally, by working in teams, participants also practise collaborating with others and acquiring an open mind to learning more about other perspectives.
